THE GOOD IS IN US !

Our God himself being the ultimate Good, the source of all good, He has put in us the good for us to use for his glory.

May the good which is in us not be blamed!

The good in us is God Himself in us. This is why the apostle Paul wrote to the Romans saying:
« Let not then your good be evil spoken of. »(Romans 14:16)

The liberty that we enjoy as Christians is precious, but let us beware that our conduct does not give us the unfortunate reputation of acting according to a carnal liberty.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us the wisdom and the strength to keep, protect and use, according to your will, the good that You have put in us.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.

Amen.

FROM WHOM TO EXPECT THE RESCUE?

In difficult situations, persecution, injustice, attack, humiliating poverty or serious illness, we seek our help among great men, strong men of the world, rich men among our relatives,…

All those from whom we can expect our help are men like us who may not want or can not help us for several reasons.

« Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God. »(Psalm 146: 5)

God loves us and always reaches out to welcome us and rescue us whenever we need it.

As Christians, our only help and hope is in the one we have followed: Jesus Christ, the son of God, our Lord and our King.

We put our trust and our hope in Him because we are reassured that not only He wants to help us, but also, because He is Almighty to help us in all situations that escape men.

PRAY:
Lord our God, always remind us to use You whenever we need help.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.

Amen.

THANKS TO JESUS, WE ARE RELEASED FROM ALL VULNERABILITY AND POVERTY.

When the children of Israel were slaves in Egypt, they lived in poverty and faced the daily difficulties of their cruel masters: Scars and fresh lashes from their masters’ whips covered their bodies, the blistering heat of Egypt caused excruciating sores to fester, and many of them were bent over because of the long hours spent carrying tons of bricks and mortar.

Many of them were weak and emaciated because of no proper nourishment and the fact of working for long hours in these difficult conditions.

But something happened to them on the night of Passover (see Exodus 12). With the blood of the lamb applied on their doorposts, they came under God’s protection. And inside their homes, as instructed by God, they ate the lamb roasted in fire.

And when morning came, something new and miraculous happened to them:
« He also brought them out with silver and gold, and there was none feeble among His tribes. »(Psalm 105:37)

They went forth with God no longer as slaves but free people. They were no longer poor and needy, but possessed silver and gold given to them by the Egyptians. And none of them—there were about 2.5 million of them—were feeble or sickly!

If this was what the children of Israel experienced after partaking of the Passover lamb, which was only a shadow or type of Christ, how much more will we who have come under the covering of the holy blood of Jesus, the true Lamb of God, experience such blessings?

When we put our trust in the Lamb of God who was burnt by God’s fiery judgment meant for us, we will go forth daily, neither poor nor feeble, but abundantly supplied and divinely strengthened in Christ!

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us also, as you did for the children of Israel, to be free from all weakness and poverty.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.
