Although men were created by God, they are not all children of God. Did you know that ?
Indeed, we are not born children of God, we become children of God when we accept and believe only in Jesus Christ as our king and our savior.
« To all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. »(John 1:12)
Just as we played no role in our natural birth, we cannot play any role to born into God’s family to be called his children. It is God, by his grace, who gives us the right to become children of God through his son Jesus Christ.
This is why no child of God has any reason to boast.
In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul says:
« It is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– not by works, so that no one can boast. »(Ephesians 2:8-9)
Are you one of those who have received Jesus Christ as their King and Savior?
If you have received Jesus Christ into your life and believed in him as your king and saviour, you are undoubtedly a child of God.
But, if you haven’t received and believed him, don’t continue to deceive yourself, you are not a child of God.
PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant all men to believe in the name of your son Jesus.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
