Although the word of God urges us to forgive, forgiveness is really hard to give because it requires us to forget the trespasses of those who have hurt us.
God said:
* »Since I shall forgive their guilt and never more call their sins to mind. »*(Hebrews 8:12)
And you, *can you forgive until you forget the offenses of those who hurt you?*
If then you cannot overcome the offenses of those who have hurt you, you cannot forgive.
Whenever you are still offended, you will remember offenses that you thought you had forgiven but you did not sincerely forgive.
PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us strength and courage to forgive and forget.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
