The Bible tells us that Elijah was a man of the same nature as us.
« Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. »(James 5:17-18)
The prophets, priests and other men of God are men just like us.
Only, apart from being called by God for such a ministry each, they stand firm in the faith and pledge to obey God and walk according to His will.
Because they are firm in their faith and obey God, God causes them to perform wonders and miracles.
« The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. »(Acts 5:12)
As God does not show favoritism, if we too pray earnestly in faith and obedience to God, we will see happen whatever we have asked for.
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us to know how to pray earnestly to you.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
