HOPE THAT DOES NOT DESAPPOINT…

In everyday life, when we say that we hope to see or have something, we say it without certainty.

But when we say it in relation to our faith, we express a confident and positive expectation of goodness.

Indeed, God wants us to have a confident expectation of good because, as His child, He favors us. Since Christ is in us, the hope of glory (see Colossians 1:27), we can expect the glory of God to shine in all areas of our lives, including our family, our work, our ministry, our health and our finances!

The Word of God says: « Now, hope does not desappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit given to us. » (Romans 5: 5)

We may have lived disappointed hopes, but there is hope that does not disappoint when we are conscious of how much God loves us. It is a hope born of the heart of God, who loves you very much.

It is interesting to note that the first mention of the Holy Spirit in the book of Romans is related to the love of God. The book of Romans is considered fundamental for Christians. Could it be that the first thing the Holy Spirit wants to do is to establish in our hearts that God loves us? Many people think that the Holy Spirit has come to teach us power. But the truth is that the Holy Spirit did not come to reveal the love of power, but the power of love!

Whatever happens to us bad, let’s always say: « Jesus loves me, I know, and I believe that he foresees a solution to console me or rehabilitate me … »

When we believe that God loves us, we have a positive expectation of good. We will have hope that will not disappoint. So, be careful what we hope because we are sure to get it!

PRAYER:
Lord our God, strengthen the trust we have in You.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.
