God wants us to bring our concerns to Him, and He has promised to listen when we do.
David wrote, “As for me, I call to God … and he hears my voice”(Psalm 55:16-17)
God not only hears, but He is eager to respond. Only, He answers our prayers in ways we may not expect, and it happens that we even ignore that He has already responded.
Imagine!
When we ask Him for strength, God gives us difficulties to make us strong, because difficulties make us stronger.
When we ask Him for wisdom, God gives us problems to solve, because problems we go through make us wise, sensible and good; and sometimes, we need to be wise to solve some problems.
When we ask Him for courage, God gives us dangers to overcome, because we necessarily need to be courageous to overcome dangers we encounter and surely dangers make us more courageous.
When we ask Him for love, God gives us troubled people to help, because we cannot help anyone if we don’t have love.
That is how God answers our prayers.
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant to always recognize and understand your answers to our prayers.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
