Trials do not always last for a day, a week, or even a year. Sometimes God allows the waiting to continue. What makes the difference is not merely the length of the trial, but how we wait on God.
The children of Israel waited four hundred and thirty years before they witnessed the fulfillment of God’s promise.
“Now the habitation of the sons of Israel, while they remained in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years. Having been completed, on the same day all the army of the Lord departed from the land of Egypt.” (Exodus 12:40-41)
Throughout those years, they endured slavery, humiliation, tears, and suffering.
Yet God had neither forgotten nor abandoned them.
The day He had appointed finally arrived, and in a single day, He broke the chains that had held them captive for centuries.
Perhaps today you are waiting for healing, the restoration of your family, a financial breakthrough, justice, a job, or the end of persecution.
Do not measure God’s faithfulness by the length of your waiting. God’s silence is never His absence. His apparent delay is never forgetfulness.
Those who know how to wait on the Lord will never be put to shame. God’s promises do not wear out with time; they are always fulfilled at the moment He has appointed.
Do not give up. Keep believing, keep praying, and keep hoping. The God who delivered Israel after four hundred and thirty years is still the same today. He will also intervene on your behalf at the time He has determined.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, give us the strength to wait on You with faith until the day of Your intervention.
Keep our hope alive and strengthen our confidence in Your promises.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Shalom!
