When Goliath the Philistine challenged the army of Israel to give him a man to fight with, Saul and all Israel were terrified and seized with great fear.
« For forty days the Philistine came forward every morning and evening and took his stand. »(1Samuel 17:16)
What a humiliation!
However, the amazing thing is that God used a simple person like David to stop this humiliation.
In fact, God would have used one of the giants of the army of Israel, but He chose to use David, a little boy, a shepherd without military knowledge, to humiliate the giant and the fearless soldier, the Philistine Goliath.
Because God hates that his children are humiliated, he does everything to deliver them from humiliation.
Often, when God delivers people from humiliation, He always humiliates those who humiliated them so that they feel and understand how bad and painful humiliation is.
May those who go through situations, conditions or moments of humiliation today, know that humiliation has an end and that those who humiliate them today, will also be humiliated tomorrow.
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us patience and trust in You during times of humiliation.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
