LET US IMITATE OUR GOD.

Distracted or corrupted by the world, some men envy the lives of the stars of this world: they imitate the musicians, the singers, the heroes of the cinemas, the great politicians, the scientists and men like them, in their styles of clothing, their hairstyles, their ways of speaking, acting, their actions, their behavior, and so on.

But to all Christians, the Bible says:
« Follow God’s exemple, therefore, as dearly loved children… »(Ephesians 5:1)

Instead of imitating men, who, like us, can deceive in deeds and words, or who can so easily deviate and be won over to the cause of evil, let us then imitate our God, who is perfect in everything.

Let us imitate his holiness,
Let us imitate his love,
Let us imitate his forgiveness,
Let us imitate his kindness,
Let us imitate his fidelity,
Let us imitate his justice,
Let us imitate all that he has shown us in his son Jesus Christ.

If we succeed in being good imitators of God, we will have gained to live eternally near Him.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us the strength and the courage to be your imitators.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.
