The word of God tells us to watch what we tell people.
« He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin. »(Proverbs 13:3)
To speak rashly is to speak too much or inconsiderately. If we do it, we get into trouble.
Here are five things we should never tell people:
1. Our plans:
If we tell people our plans, they will sabotage us.
2. Our weaknesses:
If we tell others about our weaknesses, they will take advantage of them against us.
3. Our failures:
If we tell people about our failures, they will always see us as incapable and no longer trust us to give more opportunities.
4. Our secrets:
Let’s not tell people our secrets. Only fools reveal their secrets. If we reveal our secrets to people, they will know how to destroy us.
5. Our income:
If we tell people our income, malice and jealousy will cause them to want to disconnect us from our sources of income.
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, give us wisdom and power to watch over our mouths.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
