The word of God urges us to avoid anything that God hates.
Here are seven things that God hates and that are detestable to him:
« haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies and
a man who stirs up dissension among brothers. »(Proverbs 6:16-19)
The sins on this list are in some way a challenge to God and interfere with a peaceful life.
We must avoid them for ourselves and for others as well.
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, help us to avoid everything you hate.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
