Sometimes when we go through times of hardship, people abandon us.
But when God helps us out and makes us well, we see them coming back!
This is what happened to Job:
« The LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the LORD had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring. »(Job 42:10-11)
During his suffering, when he needed them, they did not come to console him!
While he was stripped of everything, They did not give him their pieces of silver and their golden rings!
That’s how people are. They abandon us in hard times and come back when we no longer need them.
But God Himself never abandons us.
If we remain faithful to Him and keep our trust in Him in times of hardship, He restores us in everything.
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us to keep our trust in You in our times of hardship.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
