The Book of Job tells us that Satan approached the throne of God and complained about Job (see Job 1: 6-12).
The throne of God is the most holy place.
If Satan was able to approach the most holy place, it was because Adam had given him his place when he bowed before him in the Garden of Eden (see Genesis 3). Satan had the right to take Adam’s place and to appear before God.
Fortunately, everything has changed, Jesus, the last Adam, has come! And the sprinkling of his blood has cleansed things from heaven (see Hebrews 9: 22-24).
His blood cleansed and redeemed the unclean place where Satan walked and stood before God.
There is therefore no room in heaven for Satan. He can not come to God to say anything.
That is Jesus who is in the presence of God today. And He is there for us (see Hebrews 9:24).
So, what happened to Job can not happen to us.
If then, the devil can no longer stand before God to say anything against us, « Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen ? » (Romans 8:33)
Nobody !
Today, we have Jesus as mediator, who intercedes for us (see 1 Timothy 2: 5)!
It is He who justifies us.
However, being no longer able to come before God, Satan comes to us on the earth and accuses us in our conscience. That’s all he can.
Beloved, let us not fall into the lies of the devil. If it is God who justifies us, no one can complain against us!
PRAY:
Lord our God, strengthen us so that we do not fall into the lies of the devil.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
