According to the Bible, a man deprived of knowledge is unhappy.
The prophet Hosea notes with regret that his people perish because of ignorance.
« My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge… »(Hosea 4:6)
Who will perish for lack of knowledge?
On the one hand, they are people who are unaware that they lack of knowledge, and who therefore cannot feel the need to know.
On the other hand, they are also people who know that they lack of knowledge but who do not want to know.
*But what should then every man know?*
1. Every man needs to know the heart of his creator God, the love He has for him, what He likes and what He hates;
2. Every man needs to know that Jesus is the way to God, the life and the truth;
3. Every man also needs to know where his strengths lie in order to exploit them to please God and his weaknesses in order to dominate them to preserve his life.
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us wisdom.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
