EVIL REMAINS EVIL

The Bible reveals that evil is not a simple mistake or a passing weakness.
It is everything that opposes God’s will, everything that distorts truth and destroys life.

As Book of Isaiah 5:20 declares: “Woe to you who call evil good, and good evil…,” there is a real danger in reversing values.
Evil often takes root in thoughts before manifesting in actions, as Book of Proverbs 14:22 highlights: “They wander astray who work evil…,” and it always ends up producing visible and invisible consequences.

God does not tolerate evil.
His Word clearly teaches: “The fear of the Lord hates evil…” (Book of Proverbs 8:13)
He calls everyone to turn away from it: “Turn away from evil and do good.” (Book of Psalms 34:15)

God does not negotiate with evil; He condemns it, yet in His grace, He also provides a way of deliverance, as reminded in the prayer taught in Gospel of Matthew 6:13: “Free us from evil. Amen.”

Evil produces certain consequences. The one who practices it goes astray, distances himself from God, and exposes his life to judgment, for “God will bring judgment: whether it was good or evil.” (Book of Ecclesiastes 12:14)

But evil does not only affect the one who commits it; it also wounds the one who suffers it, bringing pain, injustice, and deep scars.
Yet even in the face of evil, God calls us to choose another path: “Seek good and not evil, so that you may live” (Book of Amos 5:14).

God’s Word is uncompromising: “Hating evil, clinging to what is good,” (Epistle to the Romans 12:9) and “Abstain from every kind of evil.” (First Epistle to the Thessalonians 5:22)
This is not a suggestion, but a clear call to a transformed life where evil has no place.

Evil does not change its nature depending on who commits it or who suffers it.
Evil remains evil—whether it comes from a friend or an enemy, from the powerful or the weak. God never justifies it. He calls everyone to turn away from it and to walk in what is good.

PRAYER:
Lord God, give me a heart that hates evil and loves truth.
Keep me from every form of evil, in my thoughts, my words, and my actions.
Help me to choose what is right, even when it is difficult.
Deliver me from evil and lead me in Your righteousness.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
