FROM SHAME TO JOY

Elisabeth found herself pregnant when she was old and was called sterile.

After becoming pregnant, Elizabeth hid for five months, saying:
« The Lord has done this for me, » she said. « In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people. »(Luke 1:25)

Elizabeth speaks of the disgrace she had among the people, because she must certainly have heard whispers of them as she passed, sideways glances at her eternally flat stomach.
Have you not also heard whispers as you pass by, have a shame that gnaws at you and pursues you day and night and with which you have to live and continue to live despite everything?
Fortunately, God knows how to put an end to this situation.
From an embryo of a miracle which took away the shame from her insides, to the joy shared with her family, she took her place in public and gave birth to a child whom she called John Baptist.
As children of God, we have reason and right to believe that God can remove from our lives everything that makes us ashamed, our disgrace or our bad reputation among men.

PRAYER :
Lord our God, avoid us and protect us from anything that shames us or gives us a bad reputation among people.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
