People who don’t understand why you hope in God and why you pray are waiting for you in hard times of your life to scoff at you.
The Bible says that « in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, « Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation. » »(2 Peter 3:3-4)
Have you ever met them?
If you haven’t yet met them, know that you will have to meet them.
And if you meet them, don’t listen to them, don’t give them the chance to turn you away from God and to destroy your faith, stay firm in your faith.
« Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. »(1 Corinthians 16:13)
PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us strength to stand firm in our faith.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
