Although Satan robs us materially and spiritually of what we have, the Bible reassures us that we can recover everything the devil has stolen from us.
Here are five steps to get back what the devil has stolen from us:
1. To know first by which way we were robbed:
« Remember the height from which you have fallen… »(Revelation 2:5)
Often Satan uses our delinquency and sin to rob us.
2. To repent:
As soon as we recognize that Satan has gone through our sins to steal from us what was ours, we must repent.
« Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out. »(Acts 3:19)
3. To avoid mingling with men of the world:
When we mingle with the men of the world, Satan always takes advantage of this to snatch from us what we possess. We must avoid it.
« Ephraim mixes with the nations; Ephraim is a flat cake not turned over. Foreigners sap his strength, but he does not realize it. His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice. »(Hosea 7:8-9)
4. To be aware that we have power over the devil and evil:
Our connection to God through Jesus gives us power over the devil.
« I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. »(Matthew 18:18)
5. To pray:
Through prayers we can make the devil vomit up everything he had swallowed.
« He will spit out the riches he swallowed; God will make his stomach vomit them up. »(Job 20:15)
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us to recover all that the devil has stolen from us.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
