RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT SINLESSNESS

What is righteousness?
Righteousness is right tending with God, to be free from guilty and condemnation.
It doesn’t means sinlessness, for « seven times the righteous falls and he rises again »(Proverbs 24:16), and the Bible also tells us that « if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. »(1 John 1:8)

In fact, as long as we have this body, this mortal flesh, we can fall into sin.
But (us who have believed in Jesus and welcomed him into our lives as our King and savior) God recognizes us righteous in Jesus-Christ.
« For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. »(Romans 5:19)

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, « we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace… »(Romans 5:1-2)
However, it not just because we are under grace that we are allowed to sin(Read Romans 6:15).
If we fall into sin, we must rise up and confess our sin, in order to restore our right relationship with God.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, help us to always rise up and confess our sin whenever we fall into sin.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray.
Amen.
