We ain’t got to answer every question.
We have not got to absolve every curious bystander.
We can do like Jesus done when he was with Pilate. He answered them, not a word.
Pilate asked him, « Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you? » But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge–to the great amazement of the governor.(Matthieu 27:13-14)
So, let’s never make it our mission to change the mind of our accusers.
Sometimes our greatest strength is in our ability to shut up.
PRAYER:
Eternal our God, grant us the power to keep our silence whenever it is necessary.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
