Here are seven things God desires to see in our lives.
1. God wants us to be humble.
« Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. »(James 4:10)
2. God wants us to bear fruit.
« …bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God. »(Colossians 1:10)
3. God wants our obedience and submission.
« Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. »(1 Samuel 15:22)
4. God wants us to be totally dependent on Him.
« I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. »(Philippians 4:12-13)
5. God wants us to have faith in Him.
« Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. »(Hebrews 11:6)
6. God wants us to be servants.
« Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. »(John 13:14-16)
7. God wants us to be imitators of His son Jesus.
The apostle Paul tells us: « Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. »(1 Corinthians 11:1)
PRAYER:
Our Father who art in heaven, grant us to always be able to do what you desire.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
