TO LOVE OUR ENEMIES !

Listening to Jesus tell people to love each other, you would think it would be very easy!

We see that it is not so easy when Jesus says:
« Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. »(Matthew 5:44)

In fact, there is nothing more natural than loving those who love us or greeting our neighbor.
What is special and what sets God’s children apart from others is the strength that Christ gives us to love those who hate us and to pray for those who mistreat us and those who persecute us.
And to be honest, until we have reached this degree of being able to love our enemies, we have no right to claim to be children of this God who rains his rain on the righteous and the wicked.
We deceive ourselves.

PRAYER:
Lord our God, give us the strength to love those who hate us.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
