Certainly you still think that your enemy is the one who hates you, the one who hurt you or the one with whom you are in conflict!
But that’s very wrong, you’re wrong.
Your enemy is the devil.
No longer resent those whom until now you took for enemies, no matter how much they would have offended you or been unfair to you.
Indeed, the Bible says that « our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. »(Ephesians 6:12)
It is the devil who is at the origin of our conflicts, our misunderstandings, of mistrust, of our sadness and even of our hatred.
Indeed, from the moment we become children of God, by accepting Jesus Christ as our king and our savior, hatred and distrust are ejected from our hearts. Thus, we become aware that those whom the devil uses against us, to hurt us, to arouse fear, distrust or hatred in our hearts, are not our real enemies.
And if we maliciously mistake them for our enemies, we fall into the trap of our real enemy, the devil.
PRAYER :
Lord our God, grant us to no longer take anyone for our enemy.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
