If you are afraid of death, here is good news: Death no longer has power over your life since Jesus defeated it in his resurrection.

« For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. »(Romans 6:9)

The resurrection of Jesus is the first time in history that someone rose from the dead never to die again. Other people who were resurrected ended up dying a second time (see 1 Kings 17:17-24; 2 Kings 4:32-37; Mark 5:39-42; John 11:38-44).
The resurrection of Jesus was a true and total defeat of death.
If then you believe in this Jesus who conquered death, fear no more, death will not be able to hold you as it did not hold him in hell (read Acts 2:24), you will rise again to eternal life (read John 3:16).
Even Jesus confirms this. He says:
« I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. »(John 11:25-25)

PRAYER:
Lord our God, grant us to no more fear the death.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.

Si tu as peur de la mort, voici une bonne nouvelle: La mort n’a plus de pouvoir sur ta vie depuis que Jésus l’a vaincue à sa résurrection.

« Sachant que Christ ressuscité des morts ne meurt plus; la mort n’a plus de pouvoir sur lui. »(Romains 6:9)

La résurrection de Jésus est la première fois dans l’histoire que quelqu’un est ressuscité des morts pour ne plus jamais mourir. D’autres personnes qui ont été ressuscitées ont fini par mourir une seconde fois (voir 1 Rois 17:17-24 ; 2 Rois 4:32-37 ; Marc 5:39-42 ; Jean 11:38-44).
La résurrection de Jésus a été une véritable et totale défaite de la mort.
Si alors tu crois en ce Jésus qui a vaincu la mort, n’aies plus peur, la mort ne pourra pas te retenir comme elle ne l’a pas retenu dans le séjour des morts(lire Actes 2:24), tu ressusciteras pour une vie éternelle (lis Jean 3:16).
Même Jésus le confirme. Il dit:
« Je suis la résurrection et la vie. Celui qui croit en moi vivra, quand même il serait mort; et quiconque vit et croit en moi ne mourra jamais. »(Jean 11:25-26)

PRIÈRE:
Éternel notre Dieu, donnez-nous de ne plus avoir peur de la mort.
C’est dans le nom précieux de votre fils Jésus-Christ que nous prions, Amen.

Izuka rya Yesu ryabaye intsinzi y’ukuri ku rupfu.
Niba rero wizera uyu Yesu watsinze urupfu, ntuzongere gutinya, urupfu ntiruzashobora kugufata nk’uko rutamufashe ikuzimu (soma Ibyakozwe 2:24), uzozuka wongere ubeho mu bugingo buhoraho (Soma Yohana 3:16).
Na Yesu ubwe arabyemeza. Avuga ati:
« Ni jye kuzuka n’ubugingo, unyizera naho yaba yarapfuye azabaho. »(Yohana 11:25-26)

Mwami Mana yacu, duhe kutazongera gutinya urupfu.
Ni mu izina ry’agaciro ry’umwana wawe Yesu kristo dusenze, Amen.

« Ni jewe kuzuka n’ubugingo. Unyizera n’iyo yoba yarapfuye, azobaho; kand’ uriho wese anyizera, nta ho azokwigera apfa gushitsa ibihe bidashira. »(Yohana 11:25-26)

Uhoraho Mana yacu, duhe kutazosubira gutinya urupfu.

No matter how bad we have been,
No matter how many sins we have committed,
God loves us.

And God is not only a God of judgment,
He is a God of love,
He is also a God of mercy and forgiveness.

He want to forgive us,
He offers us a hand of mercy,
Because He loves us.

« We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. »(Isaiah 53:6)

This describes the sinfulness of our hearts before being redeemed. Every one of us.
It looks different in all of our lives, but we all have turned aside from God’s way to our own ways.
We were sinful and guilty, and we had no way to redeem ourselves before a Holy God.
The sin-less, blameless Lamb of God came down from Heaven as a man to take the punishment we deserved.
Thus, Christ’s death paid the price for our past, present, and future sins.

PRAYER:
Eternal God, grant us to enter and stay in your love.
It is in the precious name of your son Jesus Christ that we pray, Amen.
